Smart Campus at UoM

Smart Campus at UoM

With more than 200,000 visitors a day, and more than 65,000 students spread across multiple sites, The University of Melbourne wanted a better understanding of how personnel, students and visitors had been experiencing the campus.

This insight might assist with tough questions, such as which buildings and services should be developed next? How can UoM develop faster on the way towards a more sustainable campus? How should the university engage with visitors and prospective students?

Using Cisco wireless and Switching with Cisco Security and Management tech, the university can make smarter choices on campus, enhancing student experience, retain students, staff and faculty, and save money.

With greater understanding of users, programs, devices, and vulnerabilities, IT is able to automate security tasks and speed remediation, and with the addition of real-time analytics, the university can offer a higher on-campus enjoy, a better on-campus experience while planning for future development.
